Silverfish
Pest
Silverfish are well-known
as being a major pest, capable of damaging
personal belongings such as books and textiles, and its not
amusing to look at them on the bathroom floor or the bottom
of your drawer. Silverfish are common household pests
in North
America, feasting on
starchy materials such as wallpaper, books, or starched
articles of
clothing.
Silverfish pests can be a
problem year round. Even though not dangerous, it's wise to
look for professional pest control to exterminate all
silverfish once and for all. Silverfish can become a major pest if left
untreated. Silverfish
consume cereal
grains, starches and anything else they can find. They
also consume paper, paper sizing and book paste so keep
papers, mags and books in containers with tightly closed
lids.
Silverfish are slender, wingless insects, shiny
silver in appearance.
